This is place is in the middle of nowere and I did not have high expectations. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. This is not a dumpy country restaurant, but a themed restaurant that is actually fairly well done. The decor was good and tried to play to the theme of the restaurant's name. The dining area and bar were overall attractive, clean, and well decorated without looking dumpy, cheap, or poorly thought out. The service was very good, and the food was very good. I had one the salads and it was large, fresh, and well thought out. The grilled chicken on the salad was tender, moist, and well seasoned. The other vegetables and items on the salad were fresh, tasty, and presented very well. This salad was NOT thrown togerher, but it was made thoughtfully. Food received by my dining companions looked good and it all arrived reasonably quickly. I found the separate 3 board dart room interesting. It was also thoughtfully built and decorated. The bathrooms were very nice, clean, and well designed. Overall for a place out in the country that would be really easy to never see, the Boar's Nest was great and I would easily go there again.

Just ate at the Boar's Nest for lunch yesterday and had an excellent experience. Very cool atmosphere, great and friendly service, and the food was AMAZING. I'm very picky when it comes to food and I have nothing but great things to say about this place. Our food was delicious, sweet tea was just right, and lots to choose from. We will definitely be back!

O M G try the flautas (Bo's big booms) or pork chops. All servings are massive and delicious. This is the only place to eat off I-30 from Greenville to Sulphur springs, so it's a handy stop on any east Texas road trip. All the servers are super nice, and the wait times have only been getting shorter. No LED lights in here, it's all nice soft lighting. Country music & games are going 24/7 on the tvs, so you can catch the game from any spot in the place. Cornhole on Tuesdays & poker on Thursdays most week. If your a dukes of hazzard fan, this is a must visit spot!

This place has the best chicken fried steak I've had in forever. They give big portions The bread pudding was good We have ate there 3 times in the last 10 days & it doesn't disappoint. I see this as being one of our favorites to frequent. The service is great & it's really cool to see all the Dukes of Hazzard decor. We live close so that makes it even better but even if we didn't we would make the drive. The food is good quality which is a big deal for us. We're tired of the chain restaurant food. Definitely recommend & will definitely be back

The food is absolutely delicious , they have your traditional southern home cooked dishes as well as dishes with a unique twist. We had the chicken fried steak, pork chops fried and grilled, the pulled pork sandwich, patty melt, chicken strips, and a frito, bean, beef burrito. Everyone was very satisfied with their meal. I will say this they are new and not fully staffed, so the service seems a little slow, but they are all working constantly and doing the best they can to keep up. So when you try this place out, keep that in mind and carve a little extra time out of your schedule. It's absolutely worth it. The ambiance it perfect for a laid-back family dinner, to hang out and watch a game, a date night with your significant other, or to hang out with friends. They also have a full bar
